Junon Wallet

Junon is a game-changing cryptocurrency in the market, featuring a revolutionary ecosystem with some groundbreaking products. Among them is its native wallet, which I designed. I'll be presenting it to you in this case study.

Overview

When the founder of Junon reached out to bring me on board as the Design Lead, he shared details about an ambitious project featuring various components: a wallet, an exchange, dedicated websites for each product, and browser widgets—an entire ecosystem. Given the scale of these digital offerings, we promptly established a Design System. I communicated the vision of ensuring a visually cohesive and scalable project, steering away from individualized approaches for each product. With this groundwork in place, I started crafting the digital products. The wallet I'm introducing in this case study is one of the outcomes."

Overview

In 2023, Goosebumps was born out of a simple yet impactful concept - the phrase "it gives me goosebumps." Initially a personal endeavor, this subscription agency, founded by a solo entrepreneur, aimed to convey the same excitement through its design and web services. It wasn't just a rebranding; Goosebumps marked the inception of an entirely new brand. The branding journey involved creating a unique animated goose logo, representing dynamic design. Using the Framer design tool, the Goosebumps website achieved an impressive 89% conversion rate, underscoring the effectiveness of the solo creator's vision and the appeal of Goosebumps' design and web services.

Design Process

The wallet comprises almost 500 distinct pages, and designing them was a breeze thanks to my design process. Summing up the design journey is a bit tricky in just a few words, but essentially, we started by understanding the competition. Unfortunately, the crypto market was still in its early stages, offering limited inspiration. We then delved into thorough research, realizing that the design needed to strike a balance between simplicity and encompassing all the necessary features. This involved careful considerations of spacing, colors, content layout, prioritizing elements at the top, and determining what should be more visual versus functional. From there, we transitioned into an exploration phase, designing without constraints and presenting a myriad of iterations. Subsequently, we moved into the rollout stage. This meant transforming the chaos of exploration into something cohesive and aligned with Junon's previously established design system. From that point onward, it was smooth sailing, with weekly sprints aimed at releasing updates for developers and streamlining their workflow.

Design Principles

After an extensive research phase, we laid out some design principles to steer our direction. The core idea is to deliver a user experience that's not just pleasant but imparts the feeling of interacting with a cutting-edge, modern, and powerful product. The design principles we crafted encompass a unique set of rules and approaches that played a vital role in achieving our desired results. Now, the product stands out as robust, innovative, easy to navigate, and remarkably powerful.
